Service Policy
Cars & Keys Automotive Locksmith operates as a mobile locksmith service based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, serving surrounding areas.
By requesting and receiving our services, you acknowledge and accept the terms listed below.
Payment is required at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Appointments and arrival times are based on service availability and are not guaranteed due to traffic, emergencies, or weather conditions.
All services are provided in accordance with South Dakota laws and regulations.
Warranty Policy – 6 Months
All keys, remotes, fobs, and programming services provided and sold directly by Cars & Keys Automotive Locksmith include a 6-month limited warranty against defects in workmanship and programming errors.
Warranty coverage begins on the date of service and is valid for 180 days.
Warranty Limitations
Warranty applies only after professional inspection by Cars & Keys Automotive Locksmith.
Warranty covers only items purchased directly from us and programmed by us.
If a key, fob, or remote fails due to a workmanship or programming issue during the 6-month period, we will repair, reprogram, or replace it at no additional cost.
Warranty does not cover:
Lost, stolen, damaged, or water-exposed keys/remotes.
Battery failure or normal wear and tear.
Vehicle electrical issues unrelated to the key or programming service.
Customer-supplied parts, keys, remotes, or fobs.
Customer-Supplied Keys and Remotes Disclaimer
If the customer provides their own key, remote, or fob for programming:
Cars & Keys Automotive Locksmith is not responsible for any issues, defects, or failures related to the customer’s device.
If programming fails or the device malfunctions, the customer assumes full responsibility for any resulting costs, damages, or repairs.
Programming fees are non-refundable, even if the customer’s supplied part is defective or fails after programming.
Any damage to the customer's vehicle, electronic systems, ignition, or locks resulting from customer-supplied parts is solely the customer's responsibility and own expenses.
Liability Disclaimer
Cars & Keys Automotive Locksmith exercises care and professionalism in every service performed.
However, we are not liable for any:
Pre-existing conditions in the vehicle’s ignition, locks, remote start system, or immobilizer system.
Electrical, mechanical, or computer-related issues arising before, during, or after service.
By requesting our services, you agree to release and hold harmless Cars & Keys Automotive Locksmith from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses related to the services performed.
